2015-2016 Wildly Important Goals (WIGS)

 

(You have to know where you are in order to know where you want to go!)

WIG 1- Increase student readiness percentage on ACT ASPIRE scores in Math

3rd grade- 52% to 57%, 4th grade- 50% to 55%, and 5th grade- 31% to 36%

by Spring 2016.

Increase student readiness percentage on ACT ASPIRE scores in Reading

 3rd grade- 36% to 41%, 4th grade- 41% to 46%, and 5th grade- 35% to 40%

by Spring 2016.

Purpose of the Action Steps:  The more fluent the student can answer basic math facts the faster they will be able to solve higher order math problems. The more fluent students can identify letters/sight words and read then the more they will comprehend.

Lead Measure/Action Step 1:  Students will have access to the “You Have A Voice Box” to share ideas and suggestions regarding schoolwide leadership roles needed or no longer needed.

Tracker:  This will be tracked in the front entrance, grade level hall, classroom, and student leadership binder. 

Purpose of the Action Step:  The more possible leadership roles created by valuable stake holders (students and teachers) the more opportunities for our students to have a school wide leadership role.

People that can help me reach my Action Step:  Students and Teachers

 

Lead Measure/Action Step 2:  Students will apply for at least one school wide  leadership role during the 2015-2016 school year.

Tracker:  This will be tracked in the front entrance, grade level hall, classroom, and student leadership binder. 

Purpose of the Action Step:  The more students that apply the more leadership roles we will have on campus.  Students will see that EVERYONE can be a Leader and they are a valuable stake holder on the school campus.
